a new, more meaningful look

I’m working on a website overhaul in the midst of writing and recording my birth class as well as planning for the Fiat Conference that’s coming up this Saturday. Add that to homeschooling, 2 weddings, and eldest turning 21 this month and… well, you know. Does that sound crazy to you? Welcome to my brain. 🤪

Anyway, it suddenly became very important to me that my Beata Birth logo reflect more fully what I try to do with this ministry. I prayed about what I wanted this image to convey, and here it is:

Every woman deserves to be protected in her birth.

I tried to make this visible in the images above.

The Holy Spirit (the dove) is covering her with grace, and remains with her in every moment, no matter how her birth unfolds.

The Blessed Mother’s prayers, represented by the arch (blue and flowers are both traditional representations of Mary), wrap around her and her baby and lift her prayers to God.

And her husband, in his rightful place as a loving protector, stands watch over them both.*

THIS is (the start of) a dream birth team. This is what my husband and I try to convey in our Catholic birth course, Beata Birth. I am utterly convicted that this protection is what God wants for every one of His precious daughters when they give birth.

After many months of work, I’m thrilled to publish my new course in the next couple of weeks. I have a few videos left to upload, some typos to fix (thank you, beta testers!), and some website tweaking to take care of.

I hope you will join me, and that you will share with your Catholic friends and communities. 🩵💙

Follow along for updates, and please pray for all my many projects!

*I know that we live in a world where some fathers are away or otherwise emotionally or physically absent. For women in this circumstance, I hope they can imagine Jesus in his place, loving and protecting them in a way only He can. ❤️‍🩹
